Eros and psyche: the co-institution of philosophy

Abstract
This essay proposes an analysis of the narrative of Eros and Psyche by Apuleius, extracting from it two main themes for reflection. The first is a critique of the way philosophy is commonly understood, as being disconnected from love, the body, and beauty. The second theme is the proposal for how a healthy philosophical thought can be co-established. This essay aims to continue Apuleius' proposal and, consequently, to rethink the ideas that are commonly held in the West about love and thought, from his legacy.
