The intermediary function of the conatus in de antiquissima of G. Vico
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this article, we present an analysis of the function of the concept of conatus in De Antiquissima. Firstly, we examine its relationship with movement and metaphysical aspects. Subsequently, we demonstrate the potential for conceptualizing the connection between God and humans through the soul and mind. Ultimately, we elucidate the role of the Supreme Creator and corresponding Fortune within G. Vico's conceptual framework, proposing a reevaluation of his work through the intermediary function of conatus, which establishes a link between the divine and human in De Antiquissima.
