The proposal seeks to present an indication from Fundamental Theological Anthropology to the human dimension of humor. To do this, a reading is made of the story of Sara’s laughter in Genesis 21.6 which focuses from recent philosophical and theological contributions. The thesis that is sought to be proposed is that humor constitutes a space of life and humanization in the midst of Sara’s old age and sterility. If the story and the experience that affects the patriarch and the common matriarch (Abraham and Sara), in the same way humor should be a space for the Church and her own experiences.
