The link between happiness and moral virtues in the ethics of Thomas Aquinas
Main Article Content
Abstract
Saint Thomas Aquinas considers that the human purpose is happiness, so that man orients all his actions to achieve it. But, as man is susceptible to error and can be deceived in the search for happiness by choosing means that do not lead to it, happiness can only be achieved when all its powers are perfected by moral virtues, since they order human actions. to find true happiness. The aim of this work is to demonstrate that there is a necessary link between moral virtues and happiness in Thomistic ethics.
