La democracia deliberativa frente al agonismo pluralista de Chantal Mouffe

Resumen
Busco defender la democracia deliberativa por la vía de someter a crítica a uno de sus contrincantes teóricos: el pluralismo agonista de Chantal Mouffe. Primero, reconstruyo la visión que tienen la democracia deliberativa y el pluralismo agonista sobre la relación entre lo político y la verdad. Segundo, conecto la postura que cada doctrina tiene sobre esta relación con la distinción entre deliberación y negociación. Tercero, demuestro que la doctrina de Mouffe, al negar que existe una relación entre lo político y la verdad, defiende una versión de la política donde predomina el despliegue de la acción estratégica. Argumento que ello contribuye a la comodificación de la política. Finalmente, argumento que dicha forma de hacer política es altamente disfuncional.
