Aristóteles y el aborto: Una mirada al principio de potencialidad

Resumen
Aristóteles es uno de los autores que, directa o indirectamente, ha aportado más a la discusión contemporánea sobre diversos temas de bioética. El problema aborto destaca entre ellos por su actualidad y contingencia. En este artículo se propone un análisis del así llamado principio de potencialidad, argumento que ha sido utilizado tanto a favor como en contra de la defensa de la vida del nonato, abordando la lectura que se ha hecho de él, tanto de parte de la filosofía cristiana como de la escuela actualista inglesa. El objetivo del artículo es demostrar, siguiendo los principios de la ontología aristotélica, que la vida humana comienza en la fecundación.
