Abstract

The present text draws from the analysis of the popular Salvadorian mass, the pastoral conception of the two biggest martyrs of the Salvadorian church; monsignor Oscar Romero and Rutilio Grande SJ. The concepts of banquet invitation and transfiguration from the speech of the homilies of Romero and Rutilio Grande and how this pastoral thought is represented in the Salvadorian popular mass. Elements that contributed to the creation of the popular masses in Latin America are also described, having as a starting point the II Vatican council.
