This letter is to provide an approximation to the representative corpus of the musical repertoire of the Catholic Christian Church of the West, generated in medieval art. They also address the figure of St. Gregorio Magno and the legend built around him as the author of the song that bears his name. Some features of the codes is described, concluding with its inclusion as art in medieval society.
