Privacidad y uso de la información
The Revista de Filosofía UCSC, published by the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, protects the personal data of authors, reviewers, readers and other participants in its editorial activities in accordance with applicable Chilean legislation.
The journal collects information provided when creating an account, submitting a manuscript or participating in the editorial process, such as names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, countries, ORCID identifiers, manuscripts, supplementary files, review reports and editorial communications. This information is used exclusively to administer the platform, manage submissions and evaluations, maintain necessary communications, publish accepted contributions and safeguard the integrity of the editorial process.
Unpublished manuscripts and information associated with their evaluation are confidential. Access is limited to the Editorial Team, assigned reviewers and those necessarily involved in the technical administration of the platform. During external evaluation, the identities of authors and reviewers are protected in accordance with the journal’s double-anonymised review procedure.
When a contribution is published, the authors’ names, affiliations, ORCID identifiers and other editorial metadata become part of the public scholarly record. These metadata may be communicated to Crossref, repositories, libraries, indexing services, aggregators and preservation networks in accordance with the journal’s policies on Open access and copyright and Metadata, persistent identifiers and digital preservation.
The platform uses cookies and records technical browsing information to maintain sessions, protect its operation and obtain general statistics on site use through Google Analytics and Matomo. PlumX is used to display usage and dissemination indicators for published contributions. The journal does not use this information for advertising or commercial profiling. Some of these services, as well as Crossref and ORCID, operate outside Chile; their use therefore involves international transfers of data limited to these purposes.
The journal does not sell personal data or use them for commercial purposes unrelated to its editorial activities. Data may be communicated only when necessary to conduct the editorial process, provide technical services associated with publication or comply with a legal obligation. Data shall be retained for as long as necessary for these purposes; published content and its metadata shall remain part of the permanent scholarly record.
Data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, blocking and data portability, where applicable under the relevant legislation, by contacting revistadefilosofia@ucsc.cl. Requests concerning changes to already published content shall be handled in accordance with the journal’s policy on Complaints, appeals, corrections and retractions.
