In these reflections we asked for the relationship between Christology and anthropology that can be inferred from some statements of the Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes of the Vatican Council II, in the framework of a new ecclesial understanding assumes significantly differently challenged to dimension history of Christian revela-tion in the context of anthropological turn experienced by modernity. Our focus is on understanding the human being in the light of the person of Jesus and his message, analyzing the Christological claims of the first part of the document and its relationship to the biblical concept of God’s image.
