Abstract

The Biobío region presents a plurality of Christian denominations. This fact is a challenge for the pastoral community and requires its attention. This article, after first describing the diversity of Christianity in the region, offers three theses as a set of criteria for the ecumenical parish. 1. The ecumenical parish is a sign of the times for Christians in the Biobío region. 2. The search for the unity of Christians bases itself in practice of Christian fraternity.
