This article, fruit of a series of lectures given in different places in Germany, presents a very personal and original appreciation of the famous biblical text of Gen 2, 18-25. After a detailed analysis of every verse I try to arrive at the deep motive of the hagiographe, to the last reason which the holy writer wanted to convey us. Thank to an attentive analysis of the original text I jump to the conclusion that this biblical story is God’s answer to the participation of man in the process of Creation: God creates man through man.
