This paper shows briefly the diferent positions the scholars have assumed in the research field of the prophets’ criticism to YHWHs’ cult from Julius Wellhausen until the present. The scholars, almost unanimously, quote the following texts: Am 5,21ff.; Hos 6,1-6; Is 1,10-17; Jer 7,21-23; Mi 6,6-8.
