Starting from the situation of marginalization and subordination of women in macho societies, this essay reflects the story of Lk 13,10-17, from the presuppositions offered by the exegesis of the text to a liberating perspective, in order to continue the path of liberation that others have undertaken to achieve a more inclusive society, where the power or the strength of one over another is not pondered, but the fundamental equality between men and women is lived. So that the Word of God illuminates and liberates the realities of oppression and grievance suffered by many women today, whom Jesus also calls “daughters of Abraham”.
