The encyclical Caritas in Veritate by the Holy Father, Benedict XVI, is already considered to be an interesting document in the long tradition of social teaching in the Catholic Church. In this study, the most relevant points of the third pontifical letter are analyzed in order to examine their significance in the field of social ethics.
