CHRISTUS VIVIT: A NEW IMPULSE FOR LATIN AMERICAN YOUTH MINISTRY

The article presents the path taken by the Latin American youth ministry, with the purpose of understanding and valuing, the renewal proposal of the post-synodal apostolic exhortation Christus vivit, fruit of the Synod of Bishops: Youth, faith and vocational discernment. The text develops the qualitative leap of Christus vivit as a new impulse for youth ministry with young people and not for young people, opening spaces to the constant search for new evangelizing paths that are synodal, open calls, maturation process management in the faith, of creation of suitable and innovative environments such as popular youth ministry. Finally, some guiding principles that arise from the synodal process that should shape Latin American youth ministry are presented, namely: contextual, synodal, christocentric, faith educator, vocational, accompaniment process manager, Kingdom builder, and creative in the Use of the social network.
