APPROPRIATENESS OF AN EVALUATION STUDY THE IMPACT OF NON-FORMAL BIBLICAL EDUCATION IN RURAL CONTEXTS

The purpose of this article is to raise the importance of carrying out evaluations of the impact of biblical formation in rural contexts; for this in the first part, makes a conceptualization about what is social impact and the importance of evaluating what is taught. In the second part, it presents a state of the art of rural education and closes with an exploration of what has been done in biblical non-formal biblical education in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The observation and analysis work was carried out in some populations of Colom-bia, where some pastoral leaders and teachers have been trained in the Bible through the non-formal academic offer of the “Minuto de Dios” University Corporation, Bogotá, through the Latin American Pastoral Bible Institute and its Bible Science program.
