The Epistle of James is not a collage of paraenetical sayings as Martin Dibelius pointed out in his 1920´s Commentary. The new currents on James´s Structure are going in the opposite way, taking James as a whole structured work. In this article I propose a structure of James balanced and integrated in its different parts. Structure which carries on the axis of Wisdom, and the biblical Wisdom literature and traditions, from this, the perspective of wholeness inside the cultural matrix of the combats for ascribed honor.
