Abstract
Rudolf A. Makkreel was one of the scholars most deeply engaged with central themes in Kant’s work, such as the imagination and reflective judgement. This becomes even more interesting when one considers Makkreel’s general interest in hermeneutics, a subject not often encountered in studies devoted to the philosopher from Königsberg. It is against this backdrop that *Kant’s Worldview: How Judgement Shapes Human Comprehension* must be regarded as an important work, produced by an author who has devoted much of his long career to the study of the philosopher – a fact that is all the more significant given that this is Makkreel’s final work. Published in 2022, *Kant’s Worldview* is, strictly speaking, a posthumous work completed before 2021, the year of the author’s death. Far from being a text that summarises Makkreel’s oeuvre, *Kant’s Worldview* offers interesting and novel perspectives on the study of Kant, always underpinned by the extensive bibliographical and reflective work that characterised the late scholar’s writings.
