The Basics of Deep Ecology
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article analyses the philosophical and practical foundations of deep ecology, highlighting its pluralism and cross-cultural character. It proposes the "Apron Diagram", which organises its principles into four levels: philosophical-religious beliefs, normative platform, political consequences and concrete actions. The eight-point platform emphasises the intrinsic value of life and the need to limit human interference. Systematic rigidity is rejected in favour of flexibility sensitive to diverse cultural contexts. The author argues that the strength of deep ecology lies in its ability to articulate common principles without homogenising fundamental beliefs.
