Abstract

This essay meditates on the classic character of occidental freedoms, emphasizing the Greek origin of that freedom and the path it has followed until settling up in Latin-America. lt underlines the law as the most defining trait on free societies. lt also reflects on the occidental identity of American nations, as heirs of that same freedom.
