Prospecciones de Sistemas Hidrográficos para la Introducción del "Salmón" en Chile

Abstract

River basins between Valdivia (39*45’S. 73*15’W.) and Puerto Montt (41°45’S. 42*45’VV.) were seasonally surveyed with thc purpose of selecting adequate introduction sites for O. tschauytscha and O. kisutch. Main abiotic parameters such as: water ílow, temperature, oxygen concentration, pH, alcalinity, total hardness and carbón dioxide, were obtained. Besides. number and idcntiíication of aquatic inseets familia were obtained.
