161 specimens of Triportheus angulatus (Spix, 1829) (Pisces:Characidae) were collected of the Yarinacocha lake, Ucayali, Perú during empties times between april 1997 to september 1997 and were necropsied for intestinal endoparasitic metazoa. Procamallanus (Spirocamallanus) inopinatus is a new record for this host and for Perú. The nematode has prevalence and mean intensity of infection 29,8% and 1,5. A lack of relation between sex, length and lake's evaluated times with prevalence and intensity of infection.. This results were often explained by alimentary habits of T. angulatus. The nematodes have not a negative binomial distribution and have an uniform spacial distribution between host evaluated.
