Abstract

Sixty two (62) species of pennate diatoms and eighty five (85) species of dinoflagellates found in the Colombian Pacific Ocean (Triangle studied) show that they are species belonging to an oceanic type of phytoplankton. The ranks of salinity (5%o) an temperatura (°C) inside which the species were found, are given. The more common species- of dinoflagellates are: Omithocercus thumii, Ceratium breve var paralellum, C. breve var schmtdtii, C. tnpos var atlanticum, C. masstliense var armatum, Pendiniopsis asymmetrica. The diatoms were represented by Cosctnodiscum kurzii, C. gigas, C. argus O perfóralas, C. radiatus, Plankiontella sol.
