Abstract

The contains and surface distribución of polycydic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH)dissolved/dispersed in Concon Bay is described. Concon Bay is characterized as a low pollution arca. Most of the residís indícate a concentrado!! rate between 0.10 and 2,33 p.g/1. chrysene equivalents/1. A significative supply to ihe bay of polycydic aromatic hydrocarbons through Aconcagua river is obscrved.
The influence of tidal currents on the surface distribution of PAH and a displacement of this organic conipound toward the Valparaíso bay is estimated.
