Abstract

In 1789, in the "Encyclopédie Méthodique: Histoire Naturelle des Vers" Jean-Guillaume Bruguiére published the original description of the “loco", Bucctnum concholepas. The present paper ineludes a short biography of the aulhor and a summary of his niain contribution to the knowledge of the invertebrate zoology.
