El efecto del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes

Resumen

La presente investigación busca evidenciar la mejora en el resultado académico de los estudiantes que cursan una asignatura donde se aplicó el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABPro) como estrategia didáctica. La experiencia se desarrolló con estudiantes del curso Evaluación de Proyectos del programa de Licenciatura en Ingeniería en Administración de Empresas de la sede Calama de la Universidad Tecnológica de Chile INACAP. La iniciativa se enmarca en los desafíos que enfrentan las instituciones de educación superior por la puesta en práctica de alternativas pedagógicas relacionadas con el aprendizaje activo y la innovación en la enseñanza. Para la evaluación de su efecto sobre el rendimiento académico, se llevaron a cabo dos cuasi-experimentos con grupos de control diferentes. Los resultados muestran que el ABPro tiene un efecto positivo y significativo sobre las calificaciones de los estudiantes.

Magíster en Ciencia Regional de la Universidad Católica del Norte y estudiante del Doctorado en Educación de la Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México UNINI. Sus intereses investigativos se vinculan con la evaluación de impacto de políticas educativas, efectos de la implementación de innovaciones pedagógicas, y análisis de los efectos de la cuarta revolución industrial en los sistemas educativos.

Doctor en Sociología por la University College London. Sus líneas de investigación son la evaluación de implementación e impacto de políticas educativas de apoyo e innovación pedagógica y factores asociados al acceso y permanencia de estudiantes en la educación superior. Ha sido asesor metodológico en diversos estudios en el ámbito de las Ciencias Sociales.
