Abstract

The population of Ch. chorus, in the Los Choros locality (29*14’S; 71*21’W.), was analized with monthly
samples between March and November, 1975.
The natural embankment was divided into two sections with 16 stations each, and the standing-crop was determined in the totality oí the studied arca.
The ring-reading method permited to draw the growth curve based in the model of Von Bertalanffy (1938).
The population structure was determined dividing it in year classes  and graphic analysis of probabilities was done.
The relative  growth in the valves was studied, and the ratos of length vs wide and length vs thickness were obteined. The rate length vs total weight. valves, wet and dry weight of the body also were determined.
